MCGC is excited to present two IN PERSON Solo & Ensemble events in 2026. This is a great opportunity for performers to expand their creativity amongst their peers. Events will be held March 14 at the Carman-Ainsworth Show and March 21 at the Caledonia Show. Participants will receive a Festival-style rating and judge commentary. All are welcome! You do not need to be a member of MCGC to participate. Please review the complete list of rules below prior to completing your registration. Registrations are due March 1 at 11:59pm.
Cost: $20 for a solo submission and $40 for a small ensemble
Rules & Regulations
An entry fee will be assessed, by the Board of Directors’ discretion, that will support the cost of adjudication. This entry fee must be received by March 1st.
Classes of participation include:
Regional A (Junior Regional A, Scholastic/Independent Regional A)
A (Scholastic/Independent AA, Scholastic/Independent A, Collegiate)
Open/World
Adult (Senior)
Staff
A solo shall consist of one performer; an ensemble shall consist of 2-20 members.
Categories of participation include flag, rifle, sabre, movement, and mixed equipment
Performances will adhere to the following timing rules:
Solos will be no less than 90 seconds and no more than 3 minutes
Ensemble performances will be no less than 90 seconds and no more than 4 minutes and 30 seconds
Participants will receive judge feedback and ratings.
Select performances may be invited back as encores at MCGC Championships, at the discretion of the judges, contest staff, and Board of Directors
