Lamphere High School is seeking a drumline instructor for the 2019 marching band season. The Lamphere Marching Band is an MCBA Flight IV competitive organization.
The position includes:

  • Attendance at all competitions and home football games as needed
  • Attendance at all rehearsals throughout the season
    • Spring – pre-season percussion recruiting sessions, held weekly in late April and early May
    • Summer – approximately 8 full-day rehearsals spread through late June, July,
      and August. Additional percussion-only sectionals held weekly through summer.
    • Band Camp – one week in mid-August, held at the school
    • Fall - Two weekday afternoon/evening rehearsals per week, Saturday rehearsals/contests. Additional percussion-only sectionals held weekly.
  • Instruction of basic and applied percussion technique
  • Assistance with rehearsal planning and show design
  • Modifying written arrangements as necessary to suit a particular group of students
  • Assistance with visual responsibilities as necessary

The candidate should be a leader in the marching arts, with skills in marching, choreography, and performance. DCI/WGI experience preferred.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and achievements.

Crestwood High School is looking for a new color guard instructor.

Requirements:

  • Flag and rifle
  • Dance
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Teaching experience a plus but not mandatory
  • Somewhat local to the area (within 30 minutes please.)

Important dates:

Camp is August 5-10 and is required
Pre camp rehearsals are the week previous

This gig is open now, and my students would like to still work this winter.

  • Member of Warren Mott color guard in high school for four years (2007-2010). Captain for 2 years
  • Member of the Western Michigan University Bronco Marching Band for 4 years (2010-2014). Captain my senior year.
  • Attended multiple Big Ten stadium games and Bowl games
  • Available for after school tryouts, practices, weekend clinics, band camp, and Friday night Games.
